General Hornet Tournaments are held every Wednesday night at 8pm. You may participate by pre-registering by midnight on the Tuesday prior to the tournament
1. Players should call in prior to the start of the tournament and go to their assigned mission and STAND BY. DO NOT ENTER THE GAME(FLY NETWORK) UNTIL DIRECTED TO DO SO, AS THIS WILL ONLY CAUSE DELAYS.
2. Once ALL participants are VISUALLY seen in the mission(That means in the pre-flight window --NOT inside their plane!!), the RED HOST) will start the game by communicating USING SNAP MAIL to the participants in their game---The Starting Order shall be given as "Pea Soup-TALLY HO!!" or "Shootem Up TALLY HO!!" depending on the mission you are observing.
3. Once the starting Order has been given, ALL participants for that mission must enter and begin the game.
4. No one shall leave the game until the 15 minutes are up!!! After the 15 minute time limit has passed, ALL participants should then use the "COMMAND ESCAPE" keys and leave the game.
IMPORTANT-DEFAULT SETTINGS ONLY MUST BE USED. IF YOUR PLANE IS HIT, YOU MUST ATEMPT TO LAND. IF YOUR PLANE IS DESTROYED WHILE TAKING OFF OR LANDING, IT COUNTS AS A KILL.
5. The participannts will compare the scores on record and agree on a winner. If there is a tie, there shall be SUDDEN DEATH play off where the first kill will decide the winner. In SUDDEN DEATH, the participants must fly ABOVE 1000 feet. Dropping below 1000 (Except to land) is a cause for disqualification.
6. Once the first game is over and the winners have been identified, the information shall THEN BE COMMUNICATED TO THE Sysop (ICEMAN). The losing Team will exit teh game to allow others to join.
8. After the first rounds of eliminations are completed, the remaining players will be advised by the Sysop (ICEMAN) where to report for their next mission.
9. IMPORTANT: DURING TOURNAMENTS DO NOT CHAT WITH THE SYSOP UNLESS IT PERTAINS TO THE TOURNAMENT!! QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ASKED PRIOR TO OR AFTER THE TOURNAMENT.
10. The purpose of the tournament is to recognize those pilots who have progressed in ability and who need to be matched with opponents who have similar skills. Any disagreements will be decided on by the Sysop. All decisions are final.
